Grace came to the jail on May 9, 2009. Grace was watching what the inferior food that the inmates were eating. Grace expressed her dismay at the diet being feed to the inmates. Grace then asked me, “are you familiar with the saying, all flesh is grass”? I said no. Grace told me that the saying is found throughout the bible, and directed me to the First Epistle of Peter, 1:24. Peter was one of Grace’s relaters and apparently was inspired to use the phrase based upon Grace’s wish that all COG’s follow a vegetarian dieta.
Grace said that, “she has guided her relaters all through the millennia to teach COG’s that all flesh is grass. We come from nature, and are nourished by grass”. Grace said that, “the current craze of genetically engineered seeds and feeds and the adding of bovine growth hormones is killing us”. Natural grass is the way Gods nature intended COG’s to be nourished, no matter if a COG follows a vegan or omnivore diet, whatever the diet consists of, the food consumed by the plan of God, should be organic and natural.
Grace ask me if I had ever taken my children to McDonald’s. I answered yes. Grace then said “the average family of three who eats at McDonalds ingests 5000 calories in one sitting”. Grace described the typical meal. “The father orders a burger and fries, with a large soda, the mother orders a Cobb salad and water, an the child orders chicken McNuggets with a milk shake, the total is about 5000 calories”.
Grace said that “the child will eat poison as part of the McNugget meal. Chicken McNuggets contain Tertiary Butylhhydoquinone [TBHQ] a petroleum by-product that is sprayed on both the McNuggets themselves, as well as the box the McNuggets come in. Five (5) grams of TBHQ will kill you. Each McNugget has .02 grams of this poison”. Yum yum.
Grace went on to say that, “all of McDonalds products contain high amounts of corn derivatives”. Grace said that, “if you take the meal described above and test it you will find, that the soda contains 100% corn flavors and sugars including high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), the milkshake is 78% corn, the salad dressing is 65% corn, the McNugget itself is 56% corn, the cheeseburger is 52% corn and the french fries are 23% corn”.
Grace said that “in addition to all the cheap processed corn derivatives the hamburger patty contains beef from more than 1000 cows in the grind mix, who have been injected with growth hormone and anti-biotics. The feed used to fatten the animal for slaughter, is genetically modified and the full of toxic pesticides, and the chicken used to make the McNuggets is raised in the same manner”. Finger licking good.
Grace is not picking on McDonalds. Grace said, “the same processing methods hold true for Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, and every other fast food restaurant”. There are so many drugs and chemicals that Grace wonders why someone has not passed a law requiring a prescription to buy a fast food hamburger.
Grace told me that “all commercially grown beef, pigs, chickens and farm raised fish are feed in the same manner. Pumped full of growth hormone, anti-biotics and chemicals”. Your grocery store is actually bad for your health.
Grace told me something that shocked me to my core. Grace said that “many COG’s are totally unaware that commercially processed food is being openly identified as ‘functional food’ and that most COG’s have no idea what the term functional food, means”. Grace said that, “functional food, is genetically modified food that makes you eat more and more of the food by inhibiting the leptin in your system”. Leptin is the natural substance that signals your brain, that you are full. There are now more than 1500 chemicals mixed with processed food, many of those chemicals are designed to make you eat more junk carbs than you need”.
Grace said that “functional foods are drug producing foods that subvert natural body processes”. Grace said that “if your food comes in a can, box, bag or wrapper it is a safe bet the food has been chemically tampered with”. The bulk of the daily American diet is almost totally processed in one manner or another.
Grace wants you to have a partial list of common ingredients you should avoid at all costs. Sugar, dextrose, sucrose, processed honey and molasses, high fructose corn syrup, (HFCS), artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucrose, nutra-sweet, splenda and saccharin, trans fats, nitrites, tap water (contains fluoride), toothpaste, (yes it is a food as it goes in your mouth and leaches down your throat when you brush, and it contains fluoride), MSG, pasteurized dairy products and any sweetened cereals.
Grace said to think about it this way, “if it comes in a can, box, bag or wrapper its processed. Be careful. Read the ingredients. Not everything that is processed is bad for you, some food items are processed in a healthy way, but for the most part, the majority of processed items require great scrutiny, so make sure you carefully read the label”.
Grace would like to see all COG’s avoid processed foods entirely, that said Grace understands that economics control what a family can afford, so Grace hopes that COG’s chose wisely and avoid as many junk carbs as possible.
Even Whole Foods is not what it appears to be. This once healthy food store has succumbed to the need for huge warehouses and delivery methods to supply a growing national chain. Whole foods once used local organic farmers, that is history. Whole Foods is now using ‘organic’ factory farms.
Grace talked about the difference. “On a factory chicken farm, the chickens are housed by the tens of thousands in closed cages in a big long barn, and never see day light. In a organic chicken farm, the cages are removed and the chickens stand on the floor. There is a door at the end of the barn that goes out to a small patch of grass the size of your front lawn. The chickens are crowded by the tens of thousands into the barn. The chickens have no idea they can go outside, so they don’t”. (They are chickens, not baby Einstein’s). Grace said, “the chickens live the same crowded fast paced life of the factory chicken. The only major difference is the organic chickens are given regular grain and the factory chickens are given genetically engineered feed and growth hormones”. Not a really big difference.
Grace wants you to think organic. Eat organically grown fruits like passion fruit, mango, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, blue berries, kiwi, cantaloupe, papaya, banana, apples, oranges, pears, peaches, grapes, grapefruit, and coconuts.
Grace says you should eat organically grown vegetables including corn, green beans, peas, lima beans, sweet potatoes, artichokes, asparagus, beets, cabbage, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, green beans, green and red peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, bok choy, broccoli, lettuce (all varieties), squash, carrots, black beans, kidney beans, lentils, nuts and seeds.
Grace supports a vegetarian lifestyle as many previous Chronicles report, that fact said, Grace is aware that the vegan dieta is not for everyone, so If you need to eat meat, then eat only free range, grass fed beef, chicken, pork and fresh caught fish.
Do not drink tap water. It contains deadly fluorine in a form know as Fluoride. Drink only flavored water, spring water, filtered water or fresh squeezed juices. Great hot and cold drinks can be made from teas such as chamomile, yerba mate, and green tea. Organic fruit can be used to make organic fruit juices and apple cider, which you can cut with bottled water.
Grace says, “to use cinnamon in as many recipes as possible, as well as include hot chili peppers in your cooking”.
Grace recommends the daily use of these three supplements, vitamin C, D, and E. Grace says to, “use krill oil, fish oil, olive oil, and flax seed as much as possible on a daily basis”. (See Chronicle 52, Super foods, and Chronicle 55, Bliss Gardens), for more healthful tips from Grace.
Grace says, “always eat sitting down at a table, never eat in the car or while walking”. Grace says, “to never eat anything after 6P.M”. Grace recommends that you avoid the use of microwave ovens as much as you can, and if possible remove the microwave from your house and toss it in the trash.
Grace recommends you have glass jars on your table or counter, loaded with fresh fruits and nuts to help kids, and adults avoid snacking on junk carb.
Grace recommends you have at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep each day. Grace states, “that it is important that you engage in sexual relations at least once a day, and states that the sex should be coupled with Bliss massages, one of the best relaxation therapies available”.
Grace recommends you buy a cheap 100 pound set of dumbbells and lift weights at home. After a daily 15 to 30 minute weight session, take a minimum of a 30 to 60 minute walk everyday, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Grace states that you should encourage your friends, family and neighbors to join with you in organizing an Organic Fellowship Farms to cut costs of organic food. If you organize a group of sufficient size you can arrange for all your “Organic” fruits and vegetables at a cost lower than the genetically modified and commercially farmed fruits and vegetables you currently consume.
Once you assemble a Fellowship group, you contact a local small farmer and make a deal to buy the entire farmers output for the whole year. You pay the farmer in advance and get your fruits and vegetables every week or month. The farmer has a pre-sold crop at a guaranteed price, and you have fresh local produce at a much lower cost. It is a win-win situation for everybody.
Organic Fellowship Farms can be anywhere in the United States to accommodate seasonal issues, as well as fruit versus vegetable farming needs. If you think about it, you have seen fruit of the month clubs. Who needs the club, organize your own fruit and vegetable of the month Fellowship Farm club. You will save big money and have fresh organic produce year round.
Grace says that, “fiber is important to good health, as well as natural bowel and colon cleansing. Creating flour from whole grains allows you to enjoy pizza, bread, muffins, pancakes, oatmeal, grits and breakfast cereals that are natural and packed with fiber, in place of being loaded with commercially processed chemicals”. This way your family has the same food they are used to only now it is fresh and healthy.
Grace says to, “make sure you wash all fruits and vegetables before using them”. It is also a great idea to organize Fellowship Canning Parties to can in ball jars, fruits and vegetables for the off season. It is a wonderful way to stock up on fresh canned items while enjoying the fellowship of your family, friends and neighbors.
Grace recommends grilling, steaming, baking, and broiling or using a wok. If you must fry use good oils. Avoid saturated fats like margarine and butter. Use polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats like soybean, safflower, canola, coconut and olive oil.
Avoid table salt. If you need a little flavor buy some sea salt. Make sure it is pure sea salt and not processed or mixed with other chemicals. Read the label.
Free Will is all you need for good health. Free Will means lower food costs. Free Will means your family eats healthy. Never under estimate the power of Free Will, Deus Vult.
Fellowship Farming and Fellowship Canning Parties leads to a much happier and healthier life. Think about the many ways you can use Fellowship Planning to make you life better. What about Fellowship day care? Fellowship home schooling? Fellowship group activities for children? Fellowship businesses? When you couple the power of Free Will with the Fellowship of Deus Vult the “SKY IS THE LIMIT”.
Grace says that all you need is vision and discipline to be successful. Free Will.
Remember: It makes no sense dying on a small cross.
So say Grace.
Grace be with you.
